Owls at Evolution Day

Students from the Department of BioSciences course EBIO 124: Introduction to Ecology and Evolutionary Biology got the chance to become teachers for a few hours Nov. 23 as part of the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences’ celebration of Evolution Day 2014.

The students were asked to distill concepts from evolutionary biology into a series of interactive games and activities that children and their parents could play to learn more about the science of natural selection.

Evolution Day 2014 was held in celebration of the 155th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin’s “Origin of Species.”
