Rice freshmen greeted President David Leebron (left) and U.S. Rep. Ted Poe during a visit Friday to tour the Camp Logan display in Fondren Library. Poe, a World War I and Camp Logan history buff, presented Leebron with a framed copy of a speech about Camp Logan he gave to the U.S. House Nov. 3, 2015. The display and tour were organized by Jeff Fleisher, associate professor of anthropology; Rebecca Russell, archivist librarian; and Dylan Dickens, a Martel College senior majoring in anthropology and political science.
