Supporting victims of crime

Dominique Patterson, the Houston-area regional coordinator for the Crime Victim Services Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, recently conducted a training session at Rice on crime victims’ compensation. She met with members of Rice’s Office of Sexual Violence Prevention and Title IX Support, Wellbeing advisers and representatives of Rice University Police Department to explain how students who have been the victim of a violent crime can apply for compensation.
