Renee Block, director of risk management, was selected to participate on the United Educators’ Risk Management Advisory Committee for three years. She will serve with 12 to 15 other university risk-management professionals to offer input on existing and new programs aimed at providing meaningful risk-management resources and services to members of United Educators (UE). The committee will also provide UE with insights into campus and school “realities” that impact the institution’s ability to advance risk management and “boots on the ground” information on how liability and other issues impact educational institutions. UE provides liability insurance and risk-management services to nearly 1,300 members representing thousands of schools, colleges and universities throughout the United States.
