WBENC fosters growth for the next generation of women-owned businesses through tailored curriculum and mentoring by certified women business owners and Fortune 500 corporate members. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, students will participate in a live pitch competition set at WBENC’s National Conference and Business Fair in Austin, Texas, from June 23 to 25 and will visit corporate campuses and accelerators.

“I’m excited to participate in the program because I find it to be a great opportunity to network with fellow aspiring female entrepreneurs and established businesswomen from around the nation,” Han said.

Since its inception in 2008, more than 120 students have graduated from the program. Founded in 1997, WBENC is the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. There are more than 12,000 WBENC-certified women-owned businesses. WBENC certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities.

Throughout the year, WBENC and its 14 regional partner organizations provide opportunities for interaction among more than 650 member corporations, government agencies and thousands of certified women’s business enterprises at business-building events and other forums.
