‘Privacy in Digital Age’ forum to be held April 7

Rice President David Leebron and Professor of Computer Science Dan Wallach will join members of Congress and other experts for a forum on “Privacy in the Digital Age” at the Baker Institute for Public Policy April 7.

This bipartisan policy forum will explore the application of the Fourth Amendment on technological advances. It will be held in Baker Hall’s Doré Commons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Members of Congress who are scheduled to participate are Texas Reps. Ted Poe (R-Second District), Blake Farenthold (R-27th District), Gene Green (D-29th District) and Al Green (D-Ninth District). In addition to Leebron, who is a lawyer and professor of political science, and Wallach, who is a Baker Institute Rice Faculty Scholar, other experts for the forum are Harley Geiger from the Center for Democracy and Technology and Judge Andrew Napolitano, senior judicial analyst for Fox News Channel.
