Twenty-five students from the Fifth Ward Enrichment Program, Inc. (FWEP) visited the Rice University campus April 12 to experience a taste of college life. The visit was made possible by Kinder Institute for Urban Research Community Bridges fellows Ian Bott and Michael Sam, who have spent the past year working with FWEP. The program’s mission is to empower boys to become responsible men and productive members of their families and community.
