Religion and Public Life Program to host ‘The Impact of Asian-Americans on the American Religious Landscape’

Rice University’s Religion and Public Life Program (RPLP) will host “The Impact of Asian-Americans on the American Religious Landscape” Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in Duncan Hall’s McMurtry Auditorium, with a reception to follow in Martel Hall.

The event will include a panel discussion featuring commentary by Prema Kurien, professor of sociology at Syracuse University; Pawan Dhingra, professor and chair of the Sociology Department at Tufts University; and Jerry Park, associate professor of sociology and an affiliate fellow of the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion.

The scholars will address the impact of Asian-Americans on the American religious landscape and reference their own research on experiences of religion and immigration.

The event is free and open to the public.
