Rice earns four communications awards

Rice’s Office of Public Affairs won platinum and gold honors in the 2013 MarCom Awards international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

Rice Magazine, the university’s alumni publication, earned platinum awards for its spring 2013 and the summer 2013 issues. Winning gold awards were the Rice Centennial poster and the “Challenging Convention” public service announcement.

Winners were selected from among more than 6,500 entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms design shops and freelancers. The competition was administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
