Rice’s Forensics Society hosts first ‘Rice University Classic’ tournament

Rice’s George R. Brown Forensics Society held the first “Rice University Classic” speech and debate tournament Sept. 27-29. The event brought more than 200 people to campus, including competitors from a range of universities and colleges as well as Rice alumni and community members from Houston and surrounding areas. The Rice squad won 16 awards and 19 separate debates. The team is coached by David Worth, director of forensics, and Shannon Labove, assistant director of forensics.
