John Hund, visiting assistant professor of finance at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, was a featured speaker at “Investing Beyond Borders,” a conference hosted May 2 by the Financial Times.

The Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies (GSCS) and the Conference of Southwest Foundations recently welcomed more than 65 guests from all over the state for the center’s first donor-education luncheon and lecture, “Next Gen Donors: Respecting Legacy, Revolutionizing Philanthropy.”  Michael Moody, the Frey Chair for Family Foundations and Philanthropy at the Johnson Center at Grand Valley State University, presented the lecture. James Edwards, executive director of the Johnson Center, provided an overview of the philanthropic landscape and how academic centers contribute to the strength of the nonprofit sector.
