Architecture school extends LAUNCH deadline

LAUNCH is an immersive program for students in any field to learn about architecture.

The Rice School of Architecture’s (RSA) immersive summer program, LAUNCH, has extended this year’s deadline for registration to May 17. The program offers students in any field an opportunity to learn about architecture in what amounts to a four-week design studio.

The program runs from June 3 to 28 at RSA and incorporates lectures, discussions with faculty and field trips. The course also offers a design element that focuses on issues and sites in Houston.

There are two components to the program: an intensive noncredit design studio and a one-credit-hour seminar. Students must take both; the cost for the program is $3,000. Enrollment is administered by the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
