Maria Oden, a professor in the practice of bioengineering and director of Rice’s Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen, spoke about the design kitchen at the “Spaces of Invention” event sponsored by the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance as part of its annual conference at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., March 22. Rice was one of five institutions invited to give presentations on innovative spaces.
