Jones School to host ‘The Role of Private Equity in the Global Economy’

Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business will host “The Role of Private Equity in the Global Economy,” part of the Jones Partners’ Thought Leadership Series, at 6 p.m. March 19 in McNair Hall’s Shell Auditorium.

Featured speakers will include Larry Guffey, senior managing director of private equity for The Blackstone Group International Partners LLP, and Cliff Atherton, professor in the practice of entrepreneurship at the Jones School.

The Jones Partners is a committed group of business professionals working to open doors and increase collaboration between the Jones School and the Houston business community. The Jones Partners organizes several Thought Leadership events throughout the year that allow the business community to gain perspectives on current issues from industry leaders and Jones School faculty members by exploring business trends and associated academic research and thought.
