No Rice News during winter recess, other campus schedules change

Rice University will go into hibernation for winter break Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. Several schedule changes will occur during the recess:

The Dec. 21 issue of Rice News will be the last issue this semester; the first issue of the spring semester will be published in early January.

Fondren Library will be closed Dec. 23-25 and Dec. 29-Jan. 1. Operating hours through December vary. Visit http://library.rice.edu/about/hours/index or call 713-348-4800 for the schedule.

The Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation Center will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1. The Rec Center is operating on recess hours Dec. 8-23 and Jan. 2-6. For more information on recreation facilities and schedules, visit http://recreation.rice.edu.

The Faculty Club will be closed Dec. 17-Jan. 4. For more information, visit http://club.rice.edu.

During the winter recess, the Graduate Apartment shopping shuttle will run only on Dec. 22 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All other shuttle service will stop at 5 p.m. Dec. 21.
