The Rice University Police Department is evaluating the possibility of using an electric motorcycle to patrol campus. Police Officer David Anderson has been testing driving one of the bikes, which can travel more than 80 miles on a single charge and do not require as much maintenance as conventional motorcycles, such as oil changes and clutch repair.
