Teach For America’s Summer Jam

Students from Woodson Middle School were among the 500 students from Houston Independent School District who toured the campus while they were at Rice July 5 for Summer Jam, hosted by Teach For America. The day was dedicated to introducing students from grades three through 12 to the college experience and the opportunities a college degree will enable. For the third consecutive year, Teach For America held one of nine summer teacher training institutes conducted across the country for first-year teachers at Rice University from June 10 through July 14.
