Kamran Khan, vice provost for information technology, presented a keynote workshop, ”Cloud Computer – A New Business Model for IT,” at the Next Generation Education Summit March 1-3 in Pasadena, Calif.

Linda McSpadden McNeil, director of Rice’s Center for Education, spoke on ”The Public’s Schools and Our Children: The Degradation of Equity and Educational Quality Under Standardized Accountability and the Call for Reinvesting in Teaching and Learning” at Leading the Nation: A Texas Retrospective on Educational Reform. This annual conference for legislators and the public was hosted by the Texas Center for Education Policy, University of Texas at Austin, Feb. 9.
