Rice Owls basketball player Morris Almond was featured in the October edition of Basketball Times. Almond, a Martel College senior, is the first Rice basketball player to be featured on the cover of a national publication.
In a two-page center-spread article, the magazine chronicles Almond’s ascension from averaging 7.3 points a game in 2005 to 21.9 points a game in 2006.
Almond has been named preseason Conference-USA Player of the Year.
