Video: Former White House press secretary Earnest shares career advice

The Baker Institute Student Forum hosted a breakfast Nov. 28 with Rice alumnus Josh Earnest ’97, former White House press secretary to President Barack Obama, at the Jones Graduate School of Business’s Anderson Family Commons. Earnest, who earned his degree in political science and policy studies, talked with students about his experiences in politics, local and national campaigns and at the White House. The night before, Earnest attended the Baker Institute’s 25th anniversary gala, which featured a conversation between Obama and former Secretary of State James A.
