Say cheese!

OISS Brazilian baking class

Lovett College Magister Mayra Onuchic brought her decades of experience baking pão de queijo — Brazilian cheese bread — to the kitchen Nov. 14, demonstrating how to make the toasty snacks for a group of hungry students and professors. Onuchic’s father baked and sold pão de queijo back home in Brazil; Onuchic has put his recipe to good use over the years at Rice, once baking 800 in one evening for a Graduate Student Association dinner.
