Sallyportal launches on Rice Day

On Rice Day, Oct. 12, the new online Sallyportal launched with hopes of changing the way the campus community networks. Sign-up stations across campus helped students, faculty, staff and other members of the Rice community create profiles for the new system, which will facilitate connections through a new online professional development hub. Sallyportal allows users to seek guidance from the Rice network, volunteer as mentors, create professional development opportunities for students and alumni and engage with campus groups and departments in one virtual location — all for the purpose of providing Rice students and recent graduates with the greatest possible professional edge.
