Rice architecture student has designs for Malawian hospitals

Sid Richardson College senior Caroline Brigham is one of seven Rice students who traveled to Malawi as part of a Rice 360° Institute for Global Health internship this summer.

An architecture major, Brigham is minoring in poverty, justice and human capabilities; global health technologies; and energy and water sustainability.

She said using the knowledge gained at Rice to help the people of Malawi is “the greatest joy of my life so far.”

About Brandon Martin

Greetings, I am a video producer at Rice University in the Office of Public Affairs. I became a Rice Owl in June 2011. Before that, I was at KPRC-TV in Houston as a special projects photojournalist for seven years, where I covered everything from hurricanes to sports. Southeast Texas has been my home my entire life. I am lucky to have a wonderful wife and two of the cutest girls I have ever seen. Go Owls!
