Showing pride

Wearing Rice T-shirts tie-dyed in rainbow colors, students, faculty, staff and alumni rode on or marched with Rice’s float in the Houston LGBT Pride Parade June 27 – the day after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states. The float featured a photo of two Rice alumni – Houston Mayor Annise Parker ’78 and Ryan Levy ’97, the male grand marshal for Houston’s 2015 pride celebration.
