Unconventional students at Rice: The observer who got involved

Reed Thornburg is the consummate humanities student. The Hanszen College senior is a double major in art history and Spanish and Portuguese and minoring in math. He also is the editor of the Rice Thresher’s satirical Backpage.

As an art history student, Thornburg has mastered the skill of careful observation, but outside the classroom, his time at Rice has been marked by trying “most things that I really wanted to,” he said. (Video by Brandon Martin)
