Rice celebrating International Education Week

Rice University will celebrate International Education Week with a number of events open to the campus community. The universitywide activities will be hosted by various campus departments and coordinated by the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).

The week will kick off today with classroom visits by Office of Study Abroad staff to promote promote Rice-approved study-abroad programs. These visits will continue through Nov. 15.

Other public events also in honor of Rice’s international students will be held later this month, including a coffee break Nov. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Graduate Student Lounge in the basement of Rice Memorial Center (RMC), a Thanksgiving lunch Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hess and Holland Private Dining Rooms adjacent to Droubi’s in the RMC, a badminton tournament Nov. 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Tudor Fieldhouse’s East Gym (signup at http://bit.ly/1igGZj0) and the “Mini World Cup Soccer Tournament” Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Intramural Fields No. 2 and 3 (contact marco.santoro@rice.edu).
