Shepherd School Dean Robert Yekovich called it “a great privilege” to be recognized by the Kennedy Center.

“This year marks the 10th year Shepherd School students have been invited to perform as part of this prestigious program, and we’re honored by their recognition,” he said.

The concert will include solo performances by Calvin Griffin, bass-baritone, with Satoko Hayami accompanying on piano; Richard Marshall, piano; and a group performance by the Dover Quartet, Rice’s graduate string quartet-in-residence, featuring Joel Link and Bryan Lee on violin, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt on viola and Camden Shaw on cello.

The concert is free and open to the public, and the event will be webcast at www.kennedy-center.org/explorer/live. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/10f3Ipb.
