Rice staff named 100th Centennial Star

To celebrate Rice’s centennial, last year Rice News announced 99 staff members who were honored as Centennial Stars for their contributions to excellence at the university. The series concludes this week with the 100th Centennial Star: the entire Rice University staff.

“We created the Centennial Stars program to recognize staff members who routinely excel in their positions, support the goals and aspirations of the university and serve as a positive influence on the Rice culture,” said Mary Cronin, associate vice president for human resources. “But the success of the Centennial Celebration resulted from a campuswide effort – from going above and beyond to make the campus beautiful to making our alumni and visitors feel welcome. So it seemed only fitting that we honor all Rice staff members for their phenomenal teamwork and dedication as the university enters its second century.

“The employees who were recognized individually as Centennial Stars last year are part of the wonderful Rice community,” Cronin said. “Congrats to all.”
