Rice’s HACER gets its game on during Our Heritage Month

Game Night

Rice Owls gathered for a night of festivities at Rice Memorial Center during the Hispanic Association for Cultural Enrichment at Rice (HACER) Game Night, one of the many events planned throughout Our Heritage Month to celebrate Latine culture and traditions and to reflect on past and current social issues on campus Sept. 15-Oct. 15.

Established in 1972, HACER strives to be an inclusive space for people of Latin American descent and for people who want to learn about the intricacies of Hispanic/Latine culture, connect with others of Latin American descent and help move the Hispanic/Latine community forward.

Our Heritage Month continues with HACER karaoke Oct. 11, a final weekly hangout at the Rice Multicultural Center Oct. 12 and the month’s closing roundtable discussion with Houston activists Oct. 15 at the Farnsworth Pavilion in Rice Memorial Center.
