Leaders from Rice and Houston Methodist gathered at Tudor Fieldhouse Aug. 19 to celebrate the start of construction on the Houston Methodist-Rice University Center for Human Performance. A joint research collaboration between Methodist’s Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Rice Kinesiology and Rice Athletics, the 6,000-square-foot center will be a premier research venue where physicians, academic researchers and university students will work side by side with student athletes, trainers and coaches.
