“This dinner was the first in-person FOFL event in over 18 months, and everyone was delighted to get together and catch up,” said Mary Lowery, FOFL executive director.

“We were so happy that Ping was able to join us and talk about how the library is the heart of campus and how Rice connects to the Houston community in so many ways,” Lowery said. “She's tireless in her dedication for making our community a better place.”

In addition to the warm company and welcome remarks, attendees enjoyed beef tenderloin stacks with mushroom risotto cakes and grilled heirloom tomatoes, seared grouper with citrus herb gremolata over saffron risotto and spinach tamales with roasted corn and Spanish rice, as well as some of Cohen House’s classic desserts: crème brûlée and chocolate-caramel tarts with crème anglaise.

As always, said Lowery, “The Cohen House team made a delicious dinner.”
