Edward “Teddy” Adams Jr., Robert Taylor Jr. and Albert Chao were elected to the Rice Board of Trustees this month.

Rice University physicist Tom Hill ’67 and colleagues on NASA’s Cassini project have determined the properties of a new class of space particles — submicroscopic “nanograins” of electrically charged dust. The particles were detected in the geysers spewing from the surface of Saturn’s moon Enceladus.

The Rice baseball team pounded out 14 hits and relied on solid work from three different pitchers to defeat the University of Central Florida (UCF) 5-2 in the final game of a weekend series Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
