Rice United Way Campaign surpasses goal

As the Rice United Way Campaign enters its 12th week, the $263,848 raised campuswide has exceeded the $250,000 goal, and campaign leaders are optimistic that the final total will be even higher since pledges and donations will be accepted through Jan. 21.

Three campus divisions have hit 100% participation: Office of the President, Public Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Social Sciences leads the campus in total money contributed with $30,735. Facilities, Engineering and Planning has the most donors, 149.

Pledges may be made by automatic payroll deduction, spread over all of 2020’s paychecks, via Esther through Jan. 21. To give by check or credit card, or to designate any pledge — including a payroll pledge — to benefit a specific United Way agency, geographic area or community program or priority, donors may use the pledge form available on the Rice United Way Campaign website, unitedway.rice.edu, where more information on the campaign is available.
