Baker headlines Energy Summit on ‘The Energy Transition’

Key market players and decision-makers gathered at Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy Oct. 2 for the third annual Energy Summit, a forum to share insights into the future of the dynamic energy industry, ranging from oil and gas to power, renewables and technological innovations.

A standing-room audience gathered in the Doré Commons for a lunch keynote address by former Secretary of State James A. Baker III, the honorary chair of the Baker Institute, who discussed the energy transition, current geopolitical events and the importance of enhancing energy security through multilateral international coalitions and pragmatic policies.

The event was hosted by the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies and Baker Botts LLP.
