Veronica Leautaud Suderland, director of education of Rice 360° Institute for Global Health’s undergraduate educational initiative Beyond Traditional Borders; Matthew Wettergreen, associate teaching professor in the Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen (OEDK); and Adria Baker, associate vice provost for international education, presented Feb. 19 at the Institute for International Education (IIE) Summit 2019 in New York. The presentation, “Leading Invention in Engineering Education: A Three-Way Partnership,” highlighted OEDK’s collaboration with three countries and students from Rice, the University of Malawi Polytechnic and Pontifical Catholica University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. The international summit was held in honor of IIE’s 100-year anniversary.
