Craig Considine, a lecturer of sociology at Rice University, authored “The Prophet of Love: A Christian’s Note on Prophet Muhammad,” published this month by Noura Books, a branch of Mizan Publishing. The book, written in English and translated into Indonesian, sheds light on Considine’s own journey toward knowledge, his experiences in interacting with Muslims and his theories on Islam in light of exclusionary notions of American national identity as well as Christian-Muslim relations.
