Astros hero’s bat donated to Houston Jewish History Archive at Rice

Bregman batAstros third baseman Alex Bregman’s game-winning single in Game 5 of last year’s World Series helped catapult the Houston Astros to their first championship. On June 21 the team donated one of Bregman’s game-used bats to the Houston Jewish History Archive at Rice University’s Woodson Research Center. Bregman, who is among a small group of Jewish players currently in Major League Baseball, used the bat during the Astros’ 2018 home opener against the Baltimore Orioles April 2.
