 Baker Institute Director Djerejian available for interviews in Washington, D.C., Dec. 11-13

HOUSTON – (Dec. 6, 2017) – Ambassador Edward Djerejian, director of Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, will be in Washington, D.C., Dec. 11-13 for meetings with policymakers and State Department officials and is available for interviews.

EDWARD DJEREJIAN

Djerejian, a former U.S. ambassador to Syria and to Israel and a former assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, can discuss current developments in the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy. He is available in advance of his trip as well as in Washington.

Djerejian’s career in the U.S. Foreign Service spanned the administrations of eight presidents from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton. Djerejian is a leading expert on national security, foreign policy and the complex political, security, economic, religious and ethnic issues of the Middle East and South Asia. He has played key roles in the Arab-Israeli peace process and regional conflict resolution. He is the author of “Danger and Opportunity: An American Ambassador’s Journey Through the Middle East.”
