Baker Institute’s Diamond available to discuss GOP tax plan

HOUSTON – (Nov. 15, 2017) – Republicans in Congress are currently working to pass the largest overhaul of the U.S. tax code since 1986 by the end of this calendar year. Diamond, the Edward A. and Hermena Hancock Kelly Fellow in Public Finance at the institute, discusses his tax reform insights on the institute’s new “Policy Matters” podcast, which launched today.

Diamond’s research interests are federal tax and expenditure policy, state and local public finance and the construction and simulation of computable general equilibrium models. His current research focuses on the economic effects of corporate tax reform, the economic and distributional effects of fundamental tax reform, taxation and housing values, public sector pensions and various other tax and expenditure policy issues.
