Intersection of diversity and business is topic at Rice’s Jones School Oct. 27

HOUSTON – (Oct. 17, 2017) – Bringing together leading local business and thought leaders, Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business will host a conference on “Sparking Success: The Intersection of Diversity and Business” at the school’s McNair Hall Oct. 27. The event will provide a forum for dialogue about diversity and inclusion in the business world and will connect people to issues important in today’s workforce.

The conference is open to the public; registration is $35. Session themes will include “Attracting and Engaging the Evolving Workforce,” “Championing Women in the C-Suite,” “Inclusive Marketing,” “The Entrepreneurial Mindset” and “Best HR Practices.”

Who: Presenters include Donna Sims Wilson, president, Smith Graham and Co. Investment Advisors LP; Holli Ladhani, chairman, president and CEO, Rockwater Energy Solutions; Julio Arrieta, managing director, chief marketing officer, Lopez Negrete Communications; Michael Dillon, vice president, strategy and analytics, Houston Astros; Donna Cole, president and CEO, Cole Chemical; Carla Lane, president of Lane Staffing; and Robert Gaudette, president, NRG Business Solutions.

Peter Rodriguez, dean of the Jones School, will give welcoming remarks.

When: 9:15 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27.
