International outreach on disability support services

Rice Director of Disability Support Services Alan Russell conducted two training workshops in March at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and served as a keynote speaker. Russell was invited by HKUST Dean of Students Robert Wessling, who visited Rice about a year ago to learn about the university’s disability services and how students with disabilities are integrated into the residential college system. While at HKUST, Russell assessed and made recommendations for disability support services there and met a lot of the school’s students, faculty and staff. International outreach is part of Rice’s Vision for the Second Century II.
