Rice’s Hochberg talks entrepreneurship and universities at SXSW

Yael Hochberg, (left, below) head of the Rice Entrepreneurship Initiative, took part in a panel discussion on “Universities and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” at the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin March 13. The panel explored how universities can work with their local entrepreneurial ecosystems to enhance the universities’ educational mission and enhance the ecosystem for the community, said Hochberg, the Ralph S. O’Connor Associate Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business.

Hochberg is a veteran of several appearances at SXSW, the annual music, film and interactive-media gathering that attracts tens of thousands of people from around the world to Texas’ capital city in March.
