Women in Leadership Conference convenes at Rice’s Jones School Feb. 10

HOUSTON – (Jan. 19, 2017) – Local women business and thought leaders will gather at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business Feb. 10 for the annual Women in Leadership Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Unlocking the Power of Partnerships,” which will feature a focus on strategies for building partnerships to bolster women for success in business.

The conference is open to the public and registration is $95. Panel themes will include “Negotiations: The Courage to Ask for What You Want,” “Innovations: Tools for Non-Traditional Paths,” “Ladders: Fostering Growth Within Organizations,” “Branding: Building Presence and Reputation,” “Partnerships: Women and Men as Mentors and Sponsors” and “Balancing Act: Can Women Have It All?”

What: 16th annual Women in Leadership Conference on “Unlocking the Power of Partnerships.”

Who: Keynote speakers Beverly Babcock, senior vice president, finance and administration, and controller at Imperial Oil, and Michelle “Mikki” Hebl, the Martha and Henry Malcolm Lovett Chair of Psychology and professor of psychology and management at Rice.

When: 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.

The conference is organized by a committee of MBA women leaders from the Rice chapter of National Association of Women MBA.
