This weekend Rice participated in Houston’s two annual parades honoring the legendary civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.: the Black Heritage Society’s 39th annual “Original” MLK Birthday Parade and the 23rd annual MLK Grande Parade. The Rice community then held a candlelight vigil and program on MLK Day titled “The Dream Lives On.”
