Rice’s 2015 United Way Campaign among top 50 in Houston

0907_UW-bThe generosity of Rice employees put the university’s 2015 United Way Campaign among the top 50 campaigns last year for the United Way of Greater Houston.

Rice employees raised a record-breaking $282,217 through the 2015 Rice United Way Campaign. The total far surpassed the campaign’s $225,000 fundraising goal and for the second year in a row earned Rice the designation as one of the most generous institutional donors in the Houston community.

The annual United Way Campaign is one of the most important ways Rice engages with the Greater Houston community. Rice supports the United Way of Greater Houston because it invests in services that achieve impact and provide a safety net for people in need, transforming lives and creating systemic change in such key areas as education, family financial stability and quality of life.
