Rice’s Dawn Finley, an associate professor of architecture, and Mark Wamble, a professor in the practice of architecture, have received a research and development award from Architect Magazine for their “elegant” redesign of the exit sign. Finley and Wamble are the principals of the Houston-based firm Interloop-Architecture. The awards, in their 10th year, honor projects, products and technologies that address large-scale and local issues.
