Sun appointed honorary adviser to CAPST

University Representative Y. Ping Sun has been appointed honorary adviser to the Chinese Association of Professionals in Science and Technology. CAPST is a nonprofit organization that promotes scientific, technological, cultural and economic exchanges between the United States and China and provides services and opportunities for its members to participate in community activities. In her role as honorary adviser, Sun will help Rice make progress toward its strategic initiatives to expand international engagement and cultural understanding and to enhance research. CAPST presented a certificate to Sun in the Office of the President during a July 6 ceremony led by Yezeng Cheng, a member of the association’s board of directors.
