Rice’s Jones School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai College agree to collaborate

Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business and Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai College of Economics and Management signed an agreement April 29 at Shanghai Jiao Tong to collaborate on providing the opportunity for a select group of Antai College students to enroll in the Rice Master of Accounting (MAcc) program and study here. The academic exchange will take place for at least three graduating classes. The two schools also are considering an opportunity for a select group of Jones School students to participate in the Antai Global Summer Program.

Joe Nelson III Professor of Management and dean of the Jones School; Jing Zhou, the Houston Endowment Professor of Management and the dean’s senior adviser on international affairs at the Jones School; Barbara Ostdiek, associate professor of finance and statistics and senior associate dean of degree programs at the Jones School; and Ningyu Tang, professor and associate dean for academic affairs at Antai College.

Rice and Shanghai Jiao Tong have already signed a collaboration agreement at the university level. The agreement was formalized by Rice President David Leebron during an April visit to Shanghai for the Chinese university’s 125th anniversary.
