Rice’s Kinder Institute to release findings from 35th Kinder Houston Area Survey at campus press conference

HOUSTON – (April 20, 2016) – Stephen Klineberg, founding director of Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a sociology professor, will release the central findings from the 2016 Kinder Houston Area Survey at a press conference April 25. The 35th annual study covers such topics as Houstonians’ current economic outlooks, changing religious and political affiliations, and perspectives on the region’s demographic transformations.

The date for the annual Kinder Institute Luncheon, postponed due to extreme weather, will be May 2 at the Hilton Americas-Houston.

Who: Stephen Klineberg, founding director of Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and professor of sociology.

What: Press conference highlighting findings from the 2016 Kinder Houston Area Survey.

When: 10 a.m. Monday, April 25.

Where: Classroom 160 A, Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center (No. 28 on campus map – link available below), Rice University, 6100 Main St., Houston. Media should enter through Entrance 20 and turn right on the Inner Loop and take their next left to park in the Central Campus Garage. Parking validations will be provided.
