Rice University closed Tuesday

HOUSTON – (April 19, 2016) – Rice University is closed today, April 19, for all but essential employees. All day and evening classes are cancelled.

Essential employees who cannot come to work because of hazardous roads in their area or because of other storm-related reasons should notify their supervisor.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is always the university’s No. 1 concern, and we do not want anyone to risk their safety to get to work or class.

The Crisis Management Team will monitor the situation and provide an update later today.
